I rode out for the sunset but was disappointed with it. An off shore cloud bank did that plus the cloud type was not what I was hoping for.
This lone SUP was paddling all by himself,no surfers.

It is still beautiful, Wayne, especially that silver-grey water with a hint of gold splashed on it.
Yes,I do agree Lavinia,I guess I’m lamenting about what I was hoping it to be. Rarely does a shot turn out as good as I had hoped?
So I make the best of what I get.
so pretty
I enjoyed the sunset and the paddler. Thanks for sharing them.
Thank you Anne!
I think these pictures are pretty, Wayne. It’s a pity the paddler is so small.
Being a wildlife photographer first and foremost,I always say one can never get too close!
I wanted “Nature BIG,human small” to be what people feel. This is what I feel when I’m out in Nature.
The first of your three pictures was my favorite for the very reason you just expressed. I found myself envying that paddle boarder for the grandness of creation he was experiencing and hoping he was taking in the full magnificence of its beauty.
I saw him doing exercises. A real balancing act! Glad you enjoyed the pictures Beth!
I agree with Lavinia – it’s still beautiful! I love the interplay of the light.
Thank you Lynette!
Typical, clouds not being in the right place! Many a time, I have set off with great enthusiasm to find that it clouds over when I get to my location! Nice picture, all the same.
you and I have the same problems with light Emma. When it works it works beautifully!
Wow awesome photography, Wayne and the lone man too is looking so nice. Great post.
thank you Kamal!
Welcome Wayne 😊😊😊😊
Hardly disappointing to this viewer! It is gorgeous!
thank you Noelle! I rode out as fast as I could but was still late. I guess that’s what I was disappointed with the most.
I am guessing the person has a wet suit on? Not as golden as usual, but soothing hues, nonetheless.
Oh yes, only tourists go into the ocean with bathing suits!
I figure I missed the best of this sunset by 5 minutes.
If you took this in the last few days that paddler must’ve been freezing his, erm, toes, off, even with a wetsuit. :D
yes, one would think that but you forget that his heart is pumping faster helping to circulate the heat!
It’s a peaceful photo Wayne and I’m sure that paddler was enjoying his time all alone out there with his thoughts and nature.
Wayne, great shots! I love the perspective of this seemingly endless space, the evening light and just one tiny human in the distance. When I’m out in nature I appreciate space and quiet!
You get it……some people didn’t get that and I must admit I was disappointed in myself as I was positive people would pick up on that.
Nature huge, human small. We have forgotten our place in this world.
You know Wayne, everyone’s so different. It’s not you who didn’t get it. Some people, probably most of the ones I’ve encountered, don’t seem to value open space and nature. If we were all alike the world would be a boring place! Plus, think if everyone felt like some of us, many more natural areas would be crowded.
of course your right Sabine and I’m happy that very few people are out there blocking out the scenery!
