TIM’S MOON

I didn’t go searching for any bears tonight.Haven’t seen a one in two nights. It’s not only too hot for them during the day but I also suspect that there are fewer bears this year. I hear stories of bear watching boats getting skunked & that doesn’t happen too often.

So It was just me & my fine feathered friends tonight. This is Tim.He & Tam live down on Lovekin point.

A DARING POSE BY THE DAREDEVIL

I say “daring” because of where he perched. That limb is from a dead tree that had fallen into the water awhile ago.Dead tree limbs tend to become dry & when you perch upon dead dry limbs they can snap! I was expecting it to snap & get a great action shot but the limb proved tougher.

THE COMINGS & GOINGS OF MAGGIE GIRL

20180715-IMG_1377I always come visit Maggie before Romeo & Juliette simply because of geography. Maggie got two visits from me tonight! Why? Because after I left her I went to go visit Romeo & he didn’t fly out to greet me! First time thats happen in a long time. The heat makes them lethargic!

So with no action from Romeo,I decided to go back to visit Maggie & she was more than happy to accommodate! Thats why she’s my girlfriend!

CHERT BEAR

When I first saw this yearling I was hoping it was Piglet? Piglet has a thin white chest marking on her but I couldn’t see it on this bear.

It walked along a downed tree towards me & than it walked in front of a glacial boulder. That boulder has to weigh 10 tons if it’s a ounce! The glacier picked it up thousands of years ago & dropped it off here.Notice how well rounded it is.Thats due to the natural tumbling & grinding a glacier does.
