After I found out that I couldn’t land on that small beach south of Cox Point,I returned & saw this perspective of Cox Point. One does not want to go near this place at any time of the year!

Frank Island Pano
This is a unusual perspective for me to shoot on Frank Island.
I know the owners of Frank Island and they very graciously allow me to hike around their beautiful property!
I shot this from the western end of the island looking SE. You can see Cox Point in the background.
Cox Point and MoonRainstorm
This was shot looking to the SE from my position. Cox Point had this rain storm just south of it and the last rays of the sunset lite it up,plus the moon came out!
Thats a win,win!
Cox Rainbow
I went out to the far side of Frank Island tonight.
A rain storm passed over from the west and proceeded to the east behind me. When it did this,from my vantage point the sunlight was able to hit these rain drops and split the light up into it’s individual wavelengths and thus a rainbow!
The gulls on the left hand side had a great view as well.
Cox Point Rainbow
It’s hard to see,but a second rainbow is just starting to form to the right of the main one. The second rainbow will have it’s colours reversed.
The rain drops must to be half the normal size, to get a second rainbow!
Cox Point
This is Cox Point and is directly south of Frank island. Some large rollers were coming in,while the point behind was getting hit.
Cox Beach
This shot shows Cox Point in the foreground and Cox Beach to the right of it. You get a feeling for the width of the peninsula ! Not much.
