Robbie and Rita brought their kids over to introduce them! They had 4 chicks this year (like last). I always know when they are around as the chicks squawk loudly! I’m sure in “Ravenese” It means “FEED ME……NOW”!
Now when I ride down the street I have my own “Unkindness” of Ravens following………squawking to beat the band!
That would be something to see and hear, Wayne. Years ago some ravens had a nest in my neighbourhood. It got really noisy for a while.
I sure know when they come for a visit!
Wow, nice captures Wayne.š„°
thank you Arlene!
Ravens are so intelligent (and very unfairly maligned, in my opinion). Fantastic photos, Wayne!
I agree and thank you Lynette!
Robbie and Rita must think of you as Uncle Wayne, so you can have a close with them. They certainly let you know they are after your admiration.
each of the chicks have unique personalities already!

Hells Angels, Raven Chapter š
good one Chris! We need to design a patch for them!
here you go, Wayne: https://thestoryreadingapeblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/img_7520.jpeg
wow, Wayne, great photographs. What a special treat you received.
thank you Robbie, they are special to be sure!

The are obviously pretty pleased with their brood and hoping you’ll reciprocate with a handout. IS that where ‘ravenous’ came from! Nice pictures, Wayne!
Ravenous!…………how fitting! Thanks for dropping in Noelle!
Raven fledglings are so big! I bet the racket is a source of both teeth-gritting and smiles, Wayne. Two years ago we had 5 juveniles roosting on the nearby house. They really eyeballed me when I walked by with my dog. Rita and Robbie must be proud parents!
I sure know when they come over for a visit!
5 eh………boy what a racket!
Nothing beats having your own personal flock. š¦āā¬š¦āā¬š¦āā¬
I wish they would bring me gifts……in the form of $
Great to meet the family!
The whole fam-damily! I love it! Our residents here have their young ones out and about, too, teaching them how to hunt wild turkey chicks and panhandle the humans for mousemeat. :-)
Every neighbourhood should have a family!
I can just picture the procession. It would make a cute children’s book. :) Apparently, you’ve found favor in their eyes.
I like it when Robbie flies with me as I fly downhill on my bike! He always beats me to the bottom!
Looks like a raven decorated Christmas tree. They just might have been singing you some carols in hopes of a food payment in return;)
I would gladly feed them If the kids just kept quiet!
I can just imagine all the squawking! Crows do like to make themselves heard.
there seems to be just one who squawks! Last night I went over to the tree and asked it to be quiet and amazingly It did!
He must think of you as the alpha crow?
Alpha Raven
Ah, quite so!
Robbie and Rita must think you’re pretty special to bring their kids over to see you. You should feel special Wayne! That’s a whole lotta squawking goin’ on when they are happy to see you!
I think my neighbours would disagree Linda!
Ha ha – well, the neighbors don’t “get” it do they Wayne?
they get the load sound but not the importance!
Congrats, Uncle Wayne. :)
better Ravens then bears I say!
Wow amazing they are Wayne. Great photography.
Thank you Kamal!
You are always welcome Wayne šš
Great pics ! They are such smart birds aren’t they?
The smartest on the planet I bet!
Terry came home recently with a recording of young ravens squawking in their nests, they are so much louder than crows! Your lovely photos remind me of our crow friends who introduce us to their young, we just met one today over lunch…
That’s special, they normally have very well hidden nests!
Yesterday’s sighting yielded shapes in a high nest with those same calls recorded…

So nice that Robbie and Rita brout the kids around. Oh, the squawking! Great pics, Wayne.
thank you Jennie!
You’re welcome, Wayne!
