This happens many times in Tofino during the summer. It gets hot & than the fog moves into the harbour. This is a so called “fog tongue” lapping into the harbour.
Whenever I see it rolling in,I try to stay further east & get away from it! The fog not only snuffs the light for me & but makes it uncomfortably cold!
The humidity & forest fire haze combined to produce a thick layer! The sun couldn’t shine through & went to bed really early tonight!
“IF” I cannot find anything for my foreground subject at sunset,I will use the “Talofa” as a backup subject!
I’ve learned that “10 % of something, is better than 100 % of nothing”!
