When the wind/ocean waves are up,there are good wave explosions off of this point!
Many people come up here and just walk around our beautiful beaches!
These two were wading through this lagoonal like pond on Chestermans. I waited for a wave to crash onto Sunset Point in the background. You can also see Long Beach Lodge Resort in the background.
I didn’t go out tonight in my boat. There were too many clouds. However,it did get nice a hour or so before sunset. The sun came out of a large cloud and it got sunny gold all over.
I did see it was going to happen and had enough time to ride out to Chesterman’s Beach.
The moon did come up in the east, but there was too many clouds blocking it near the horizon. It came out from the clouds well up into the sky.
I got a few shots tonight, but nothing remarkable.
He went in front of the Long Beach Lodge during sunset.
There was a couple sitting down on the bench up on Sunset Point in behind him.
The Kite Surfer was crossing in front of me and I was able to get Long Beach Lodge in the background as well.
You can see a few people up on Sunset Point watching him.
Their were clouds most of the day blocking the sun,so I went out to Chesterman’s Beach.
I came across this Paddle Surfer at South Chesterman’s and was lucky enough to capture a wave hitting the front of Sunset Point.
The ocean was relatively flat tonight, but a wave caught the rocks down at Sunset Point and made a nice splash. Enjoying the sunset were three teenagers on the front side . A dangerous place to be!
I saw this and shot it just in case it was something. I checked my Metadata and I shot this right at 9pm. I do not know what it was,but the Firetrucks went out in a hurry!(they went by at 9:15pm) However,it’s Tuesday night and thats the night the Volunteer Fireman practice.
It may be just a practice for the fireman?
UPDATE:(next day,Wednesday)- I found out that somebody torched acouple of houses on Maltby rd. One was consumed and the other was saved by the local Fireman. The police are investigating.
Notice how the beginning of that cloud is a different colour than the main body! I bet that is from the fuel the arsonists used to start the fire.
The waves were crashing onto this point in Cox Bay and I decided to put myself in a spot where I could capture it for my Foreground.
I saw a few rather large wave explosions from not only this point(Sunset Point),but also Cox Point.
