  1. Very sweet sentiment and photo, Wayne. Thank you. And may you have a pleasant day filled with sweet memories also. Marilyn F.

      1. I hosted a breakfast for my parents and siblings. Terence’s grandmother, aged 101, is in ICU in hospital. Her organs are all failing so she is in palliative care. We visited her and his mom and sister at the hospital yesterday afternoon.

  2. what a priceless moment caught on camera and I really liked it. My son loves bears and I shared your post. Thank you for the smile that sprang on my face when I looked at your post today

  3. Beautiful Wayne, I have a question. Remember I posted about two years ago the mother bear and her yearling cub stopped off in my yard here. Well last year I never saw one bear here and last night a smaller black bear came back to my yard. He, I am guessing a he, was just checking things out where I normally feed birds. The feeder was empty, I only put some food our for the birds in the morning. He laid down and I was next to the cabin taking photos. He looked up a couple times when he heard the camera shutter button go off. He sure looked like the same size bear as that cub 2 years ago and had those rust color spots on his chest the same. But maybe they all have those off color hair there. Would that same young bear always take the same route looking for food? Do they stick to the same migration path? I did shoot a BB gun into the air after taking a few pictures because for his safety as well he can’t get comfortable here.

    1. the young bear should be much larger by now Sandra. The rust coloured spots you mention are from mange. Once they get it they loose their fur totally and the fur that grows back in always seems to be a reddish/rust colour for some strange reason.
Bears and all animals have their own highways/paths like we do. It most likely followed the pathway into your yard.
If you do not have any food around they will move on.
