yes,they sure do Doug. I’ve seen scat with bites of white shell in it.

everyone seems surprised about bears eating barnacles.
I’ve heard mention of barnacles only in relation to ships and piers. I never connected them to bear territory.

bears will keep eating if the food is still there! They will pig out because they never know where and when their next meal is!
Hopefully their salmon feasting starts soon and they can really bulk up their immediate food supply.

I read a bears body language. It tells me how close I can get.
You and everyone else reads the body language of a dog when you want to go pet it. Same thing,you just have to hang around bears to become familiar with their body language.
Having said that there are no guarantees.
