I just Googled to see how long they could stay underwater without surfacing and if resting, they can stay 12 minutes without taking a breath. The faster they travel, the more breaths they need to take (which makes sense). http://www.orca-live.net/card/card_22.html
yes but on average they normally sound for 5 minutes or so. In this shoot they were loligagging about and so stayed on the surface.
