She is prideful – Maggie, when walking, does not have the dexterity that she has for landing, and then perching in a high tree, or flexing those talons to catch dinner.
oh I don’t know about eagles having pride……they hang around with me!
It seems as if Maggie did find something very interesting on her walk.
not really, she was just trying to get away from me when I started talking to her. I was a little hurt that she always does this. Being on the ground makes them feel vulnerable and I may be over stepping myself with her comfort zone.
She looks sort of funny doing that – it’s definitely not her most elegant mode of travel. :)
yes, absolutely! Even funnier when you see her trotting about!
Beautiful BC—love those mountains in the background!!
yes, thats Strathcona Park 22 miles away.
Awesome!
I love the way she is walking. It looks so sweet. Your pictures are beautiful💖
thank you Lara,she walks funny!
Maggie looks like she is goose-stepping in trying not to get the greenery tangled in her toenails.
she walks funny and made me laugh! I think she doesn’t like me talking or laughing at her.

I can see she’s a plodder!
they are like a fish out of water walking on the ground. I rarely ever see one walking about.
It appears she found something interesting on the ground in that last picture.
Eagles always like to go out on the mudflats to see what Mother Nature has brought them! Always something tasty left behind when the tide goes out.
