There are three forest fires north of us here on the west coast of Vancouver island near Zeballos. Zeballos is a remote village on the west coast of the island.
All that particulate matter from the forest fires filters out the shorter wavelengths. The only ones able to punch through are the longer wavelengths. ROY…… red, orange & yellow.
Fantastic!!!
Wow! Amazing! “Fire” and beauty! Thank you!
good description Manuela!
I think I would name that a “cherry sunset”. I’ve never seen that color before in a sunset. Looks like you might be viewing it from another planet and not earth.
next one is a cherry sunset!
We drove from the southern Okanagan up to Valemount yesterday (I am heading back to work in NWT) – all of it just blanketed by heavy smoke. At times it was almost dark. I’m really concerned about our climate.
I think being concerned for the environment is good but don’t be afraid.
Wonderful selection of photos today, especially loved the sunset shots and Daredevil’s centerfold.🙂
thank you! Maybe I’ll see my bear friends tonight?
So grateful you share these sunsets… they are remarkable
your welcome Annette! I strive for drama!
This photo – well the pink sphere looks like something from the solar system but not our regular sun – wow, where did you get this imposter sun??
it does look out of this world doesn’t it!
Wow!
