Larry lake is about 50 minutes away from Tofino on highway #4. It’s located up on a large hill called “Hydro Hill”. Larry lake is a small sub-alpine lake stocked with Rainbow trout.
I happen to be passing by when the sun was perfect!

The second photo, with the sunglow on the left side, is marvellous!
Thank you Audrey,it was that way only a minute or two.Right place at the right time!
Wow! Absolutely beautiful, Wayne! What a thrill it must have been to capture that perfect moment!
yes,It’s always a thrill to be sure when the “light goes”! I wouldn’t go so far as to say it was perfect however.I’m not even sure what “perfect” is to be honest. A diamond has hundreds of facets to sparkle with & so each geographic location over the years has thousands of unique moments & this is but one.
thank you Betty for always being thrilled!
How true! That’s Life! One great adventure, one beautiful, thrilling moment after another! 😊 You’re welcome, Wayne! Thank you for sharing yours! 🤗💕
It’s a roller coaster ride to be sure Betty!
Thrills & spills!
Exquisite reflection of such grandeur, color and Light Wayne!
thank you Lori!
Another gem on Vancouver Island!
What unbelievable photos!!!! And when can you ever count on the water being so calm. And you captured the reflections to perfection. Very tranquil and calm. Thanks for sharing.
fresh water (lakes) is calm in the mornings & evenings usually but the ocean is rarely calm.
I like that phrase,”reflection to perfection”!
Good one Marilyn!
Didn’t realize there was a rhyme there, but its appropriate for a lot of your water photos. My brother’s name is Larry, so he was amused to have a name-sake lake in such beautiful scenery and wondered why the lake was not named Laurence.
who knows how these things are named?
Magical photos of a mystical place
I’ve seen so much magic in my life It’s surprising I’m not a magician Annette!
Well-timed and well shot! :) Golly dang! I wanna fish there.
& If you drove up to Tofino you could! It’s right beside the highway! I never see anyone fishing there so I bet you’d catch some.
Gorgeous!!! That second photo should win a blue ribbon SOMEwhere! ❤
thanks Tina!
Amazing photographs, Wayne.
thank you Robbie! It’s been slow.Weather has me locked in.You can do your passion all the time but I need good weather.Light is critical! People liking “The Roc” I hope!
These are really wonderful photos. :)

Gorgeous!
As soon as I saw it I had to stop!
Amazing work!
thank you! right place at the right time.
It’s beautiful. Do you ever get snow accumulation there? Or just in the mountains?
we do get snow here but it usually melts when it hits.Yes,the mountains get most of the snow.
