This is “Peggy” & “Piglet” on April 22nd.”Piglet” was much smaller than as you know.Recently I managed to get close enough to record Peggy feeding Piglet.I couldn’t see them, they were just inside the forests edge.I recorded it on my Go Pro.I sent the file to an acoustic engineer. He isolated Peggy’s purring/cooing.There isn’t much to listen to but what there is,is absolutely amazing!
Wow…so very cute!!
absolutely! You’d be very impressed if you could see & hear them interacting!
Bet that was pretty awesome!!
words fail me!
Oh my… what loving mother and child scenes. Peggy is showing us how it’s done and Piglette is soaking it all in!
She’s such a good mother! As the comic book guy would say “Best mother ever”!
That is so amazing. I didn’t know that momma bear’s purred/cooed, but I guess all mother’s do in some way or another. Very sweet and wonderful that you captured it. And a treat to listen to. Thank you!!!
I’ve never heard it before either & I’ve been around bears for 3 decades!
your welcome Marilyn!
Wonderful photographs
thank you! They are not recent shots, but the only ones I have of Peggy feeding Piglet.
Want to hear a Bear PURRING? – Go over to Wayne’s blog and listen (the player is under the last photo of Mom, ‘Peggy’ and cub ‘Piglet’) :D
Wonderful photos of Peggy and Piglet! I wondered if you were still using the Go Pro and what a wonderful moment to capture!🙂
I always carry it with me just in case? I wish I had a directional microphone!
:-) Thanks for sharing!
how could I not share.Peggy would be upset with me If I didn’t! & who wants a 400lb bear upset at them?
Wonderful photos! Thank you for sharing so much beauty!
your welcome.Of all the souls out there,I know that you can appreciate Nature in it’s purest form.
This is such a precious photograph! Such a loving parent!!! Great shooting!!!!
being at the right place at the right time is what photography & life is all about!
……..& If one cannot be at the right place at the right time,at least try not to be at the wrong place at the wrong time!
thank you for being witness!
Great message about life and one of such truth.

I had no idea that bears can purr too! :-) Mama bear is very caring. ♥
Me 2!
Peggy is one of the most loving creatures I have ever had the great pleasure of knowing!
Very cute. I had no idea cubs had such long claws.
yep & boy can they climb! They need those claws to escape from threats up trees!
Isn’t that something? Incredible to hear – thanks, Wayne!
yes,I wish I could of walked in there & recorded her closer but I think Peggy would of objected.
I love that you can see the milk dripping off Piglets paw in the last photo.
when Peggy picked him up by the back of the neck,he kind of threw up a bit.He was constantly crying out but shut up real quick when she picked him up!
So wonderful to see. I hope the little one survives.
I’m sure she will!
Thanks for dropping in!
It is such a treasure that Peggy and Piglet have been sharing their whole mother daughter journey intimately with you, Wayne! How blessed!
it’s an amazing journey!
It is as if Peggy wants you to document these “Kodak” moments, she knows in her heart how quickly they go by!
